You can use the [up] [w] [space] or click button to jump on the yellow hoops.
Avoid spikes.
In ship mode, holding will cause you to fly up, and releasing will cause you to fly down.

If you fail to enter a gravity portal, you can boost your vertical leap by tapping on a blue pad.
Gathering coins will allow you to score bonus points.
Toggle the effect and press the letter L to shorten the delay.
